Rocky Mountain National Park Micro Wedding Venues
If you’re dreaming of saying “I do” with alpine lakes, rugged peaks, and a little wind in your hair, while being surrounded by a few of your favorite humans, Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) might just be the place for you. Think sunrise vows at Dream Lake, epic portraits under the pines, or a champagne toast surrounded by golden aspens — it’s Colorado magic at its finest.
Before you pack the champagne and hiking boots, here’s the deal: RMNP is one of the most protected and sought-after micro wedding and elopement locations in the state, which means permits are limited (and they go fast). The park only allows 60 total wedding permits per month from May-October, 40 total wedding permits per month from November-April, and caps ceremonies at 30 people total — including your photographer and officiant. (What better way to tell your parents you won’t be inviting all 20 of your cousins and their friends) You’ll need to secure a Special Use Permit through the National Park Service (currently $300) and choose from one of the park’s approved ceremony sites at least one year in advance— each with its own vibe, group size limit, and accessibility level.
Why my micro wedding and elopement couples LOVE RMNP
- Unreal alpine backdrops that change with every season
- Easy access to stunning locations with or without full-day hikes (depending on your vibe!!)
- Perfect blend of adventure and accessibility for guests
- Dark skies for astro photos
- Endless options nearby for post-ceremony celebrations (Estes Park, anyone?)

Crested Butte Micro Wedding Venues
If your idea of “wedding planning” looks more like choosing between a wildflower meadow or a mountain overlook, welcome to Crested Butte — where the air smells like pine and freedom, and every direction looks like a freaking postcard.
This tiny mountain town is pure magic – the kind that makes you never want to leave. Crested Butte was built for Micro Weddings! With intentional, laid-back and a little bit wild vibes, I can’t imagine a better place to say, “fuck yes!” to forever!
Most of Crested Butte sits on National Forest or BLM land so you may need a Special Use permit for some ceremony sites. For groups between 25-30 people the process is fairly simple – and I can help guide you through it! Something to keep in mind while planning certain spots (like Kebler Pass or Gothic Road) are closed November-May and lodging books up fast during wild flower season – so plan early!

Why my micro wedding and elopement couples LOVE Crested Butte
- Unreal views — Paradise Divide, Kebler Pass, Gothic Road… take your pick.
- Wildflower heaven — mid-June through early August, the whole valley explodes in color.
- True adventure vibes — jeep roads, alpine lakes, and hidden overlooks everywhere you turn.
- Fall colors and skiing/snowboarding heaven from Fall to Winter!
- Cozy-meets-luxury lodging and local gems for post-ceremony dinners (looking at you, Secret Stash & Elk Ave Prime).
- A weekend that actually feels like a celebration, not a schedule.

Aspen is built for micro weddings — the kind where you can actually breathe, soak it all in, and celebrate with the humans who matter most. Picture this: sunrise vows surrounded by golden aspens, a private chef dinner under the stars, or a gondola ride to your ceremony with the Maroon Bells as your backdrop. Yeah… all of that is definitely possible here!
